About Me

Hi. I'm Gerard Kelley. I'm over 60, so I guess I'm a senior citizen. I live in a mobile home park in Sacramento. Working as a handyman. I've spent most of my life working as a carpenter or handyman. That means doing things plumb, level, and square. I've never thought of myself as an artist. But I always did what I thought of as good work, you know, always doing the best job I could. Balanced, smooth, neat, almost perfect, whether I was doing concrete, plumbing, electrical, roofing, framing, drywall, painting, or whatever. It had to be done well. I guess there is some artistry in that. I'm still doing that. But now, and for the last couple of years, I've enjoyed making and selling these jewelry boxes. And there is not one that is plumb, level or square. I design the box. I choose the wood. I choose the finish. I make the jewelry box just like I want it. But it still has to be the best job that I can do. I also put together this web site. I think I did a good job. It's the best I can do. For now. I'm still learning.
